Long time
I am so bad at this blogging thing! A lot has happened since I last wrote. Dawn is a senior in high school now and it just seems weird! I remember my senior year and it seems like just yesterday! She got accepted into UNL and is excited that she will be a Husker. Now we just have to hope she can get a scholarship so she can go!
Clayton is a junior and was co captain of the jv cross country team. He is a runner and sets personal records at almost every meet he competes in.
Michael is a sophmore and has improved his reading level to where he is now 4 months ahead of where he should be. It was a huge improvement since he was 3 grades below level when he entered high school last year.
Parker is in middle school now and he made honor roll his first semester. He is still in the focus school and loves it!
Our little Colin is still little but loving second grade. He turns 8 next month and will be baptized!
I am no longer at Westgate Elementary teaching preschool. I am at Hamilton Heights CDC in the infant room. I love it there and am truly blessed to be taking care of some wonderful babies!
I am busy with school and am getting closer to getting my degree! I have a few more years but it will be worth it!
Bob is still at KETV but is looking for a new job, hopefully outside the tv news business

Homecoming
It is homecoming weekend for Westside. Westide beat Omaha North at the homecoming game last night. It was a good game and I enjoyed watching Dawn and Clayton march in the half time show. Today was pretty busy as Dawn and Clayton had a band competition in Papillion today. They did a great job even though it decided to start raining on them. We left the competition, got home and Dawn had to get ready for homecoming. She went with a bunch of her friends. I remember when I was in high school you didn't go to dances if you didn't have a date, I have to say I really like the idea of her just going with friends instead of with a date, I am not ready to have a daughter dating! Overall we have enjoyed this weekend, homecoming week is always fun, with the parade, pep rally, game and dance.

First Class down, many more to go!
I finished up my first class this week and passed with a 97% A! I really enjoyed the class and learned a lot that is helping me out at work. I registered for fall and am taking 2 classes- Introduction to Early Childhood Education and English Comp 2. My English Comp class is online and I am a little nervous about it. I hope I do well.

Going back to school
I have made the decision to go back to school and get my degree. I am going to Metropolitan Community College to get my Early Childhood Educator degree. It is an associates degree. I will decide after if I want to then transfer to UNO to get my teaching certificate. I am excited and nervous at the same time as it has been a long time since I went to school.

Sorry!!! I am bad at posting
I know it has been months since I posted last, sorry!!!
We have been busy with band concerts, church activities and snow and more snow! We survived 2 blizzards so far this winter, the kids enjoyed 6 snow days already this year when we usually only have 2 a year. So different than when we were in Utah and didn't have a single snow day.
Dawn is enjoying her first year at high school and Michael his first year in middle school.
The older kids started church basketball last week and are all doing well. Both teams won this week so they were excited and Dawn even had 1 point!!!
Colin turned 5 December 15 and now thinks he can do anything since he is now 5!
We had a quiet Christmas at home this year due to a blizzard that kept us snowed in.

Pain!!!
So friday night I noticed that my left cheek was starting to swell a little, didn't think too much of it at first, just thought I got bit by something. Saturday it was pretty big but I still thought it was just a spider bite or something. Sunday I woke up to my whole left side of my face swollen red and painful so I went to urgent care, found out I had cellulitis, given an antibiotic and told to check in with my doctor this week. Well I went in today and I had to have it drained. Let me tell you, that hurt!!! Turns out I had a cyst that ruptured and caused an infection. So now I have my cheek packed with gauze and a big bandage on it and on a different antibiotic that is suppose to work if it is MRSA. I go back tomorrow so the doctor can check it and repack it. I am in so much pain right now it is ridiculous!!!!
